On Tuesday, a person close to the matter described to CNN that Melania Trump, as like her husband, didn’t appear to congratulate first-elect Jill Biden.

Four years ago, on this day, Donald Trump’s wife had invited by Michelle Obama (then-first lady) at the White House and also a round of the executive residence as a tradition. But this time, everything is going differently, and there is no Executive Residence tour started by Melania Trump.
No significant change of plans in the schedule
There is also another familiar source with the knowledge of the daily schedule of Melania Trump described that there is a very small number of changes take place in the schedule, and a maximum of the concentration of Melania Trump’s office remains on daily meetings and forthcoming holiday arrangement.
The source said that it is his/her understanding that it is business as normal in the East Wing. The source added that even if Melania Trump desired to start the procedure of a transition, Melania is still hamstrung by Donald Trump’s baseless rejection to admit Biden’s victory.
The source continued that he is not sure it is fair for anybody to expect them to begin transitioning as the President has not yet accepted.
Laura Bush’s chief of staff, Anita McBride, who said that the first lady has occasionally expressed opinions unlike President Trump, said that this moment is more complex, her reaching out before he has accepted could be seen as going entirely against what President Trump and his administration are doing.
Another source close to Melania Trump’s thinking said that when the time will come to accept, Melania Trump will comply. Furthermore, the source said that if President Trump accepts, he (source) is sure the East Wing will be professional and gracious to the new administration; that is just how they work.
As each day passes without transitioning, the task to set up the White House for the upcoming new family, and to replace the current one, is becoming more challenging.
Capricia Penavic Marshall (Hillary Clinton’s then-assistant) said that this transition would be a scary or daunting task even though Joe Biden is aware of the White House and extremely capable. She said that by now, there would have been at least a transference of notes between the first lady-elect’s team and the current East Wing. She continued that there is a timeline to all of this, what is going on now is just going to block it up.
