On Friday, Moscow’s Ministry of Defense said that its forces continued to strike along Ukraine’s eastern Donetsk front line, asserting to have killed nearly 240 Ukrainian personnel over the past day. The Ministry said in a daily briefing on February 24 that the Russian Armed Forces keep on carrying a co-called special operation.

The U.S. Defense Department announced a new weapons package to reassure the unwavering support of Washington for the courageous Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and strengthen Kyiv’s Air Defense capability. According to the Defense Department’s press release, this latest security package, worth two billion dollars, is being provided under the US DoD-led USAI funding program as part of their solid commitment to Ukrainians’ short and long-term defense.

The Kremlin Defense Ministry said that in the eastern Donetsk direction, units of Forces in the Southern region inflicted a comprehensive military operation on buildups of the enemy’s presence and equipment along the entire boundary. However, media correspondents weren’t able to independently confirm Moscow’s claim.

According to media reports, the past few weeks have witnessed Kremlin intensify infantry attacks across the frozen ground in fights described by the conflicting parties as the bloodiest of the Kyiv-Moscow war. Previously on 23rd February, the Officials in Kyiv said that its military has strongly resisted attacks along the front.

On Saturday, Pavlo Kyrylenko, the Governor of Donetsk Province, reported that the latest Russian attacks injured five innocent civilians in the region. He added that two people were wounded in Bakhmut Raion’s Chasiv Yar city, one in Donetsk city, one in Bakhmut, and one in Kostiantynivka – a Ukrainian town on the Kryvyi Torets river.
