The Oscar nominated movie actor’s films like ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ and ‘Juno’ revealed with his followers that they are trans and classify himself as non-binary, which used to describe someone whose sex-identity is neither woman nor man.

The star, who was previously known as Ellen Page, came to his Instagram and wrote, I feel lucky to be sharing this, to be here, to have reached at this position in my life. Ellen Page continued, ‘I feel overwhelming gratitude for those incredible fans who have helped me along this journey. Moreover, Ellen Page said, ‘I cannot start to express how remarkable it feels to finally love who I am enough to follow my authentic self.
Elliot inspired by trans community
The actor explained that their pronouns are they and he. In his Instagram post, he described that he has been inspired by the transgender community and praised them for elaborating ceaselessly working to develop this world into a more compassionate and inclusive place.

He wrote that he also asks for patience, his joy is real, but it is also fragile. He explained that the truth is, even though feeling greatly happy right now and knowing how much privilege he carries, he is also scared. He is scared of invasiveness, jokes, hate, and violence.
In a released statement, GLAAD’s Director of Transgender Media, Nick Adams, described that Elliot Page has given them fantastic characters on screen and has been an honest advocate for the whole LGBTQ community. Adams continued that he will now be an inspiration to an uncountable number of transgender and non-binary community. Moreover, the whole trans community deserves the chance to be themselves and to be accepted for who they are. He concluded that they celebrate the remarkable Elliot Page today.
