Andrea Bocelli make performance at Easter event in Milan

Andrea Bocelli, an Italian opera singer, will be going to make a performance at an Easter Concert in empty Duomo Cathedral of Milan that fans can stream on YouTube to keep the audience away from churches on holiday.

Bocelli told in a statement that he believes in the power of praying together, Variety reported. He added that he believes in the Christian Easter, which is a universal signal of rebirth everyone that is a believer or not, needs right now.

During his solo concert, “Music for Hope,” the opera star bonds with organist Emanuele Vianelli. Further, it includes traditional parts such as Mascagni’s Amazing Grace and Sancta Maria.

Giuseppe Sala, Mayor of Milan, said that he glad to know that Bocelli will perform and he had accepted our city’s invitation.

Mayor Sala said that this year’s Easter event would be very different for everyone, Classic FM reported.

He continued that joyous calmness that normally comes with the Easter day has been severely troubled by Coronavirus pandemic that we are facing. Furthermore, he added that they are missing the extraordinary voice of Bocelli in these crises, a special and strong hug that would warm the heart of Milan.

Bocelli wouldn’t charge for any performance, and his company is growing money to provide protective equipment to medical sectors, Variety says.
