On Friday, hours after the agreement was announced, the Palestinian officials have canceled a deal through which Israel will share one million Coronavirus vaccine doses to Palestine for the sake of the same amount of doses in return later this year.
The Palestinian authority described that the vaccine doses, which Israel started sharing to the occupied West Bank, almost expire or very close to expiry dates. Moreover, it does not meet their standards. While publicizing the deal, Israel had described that the COVID-19 vaccines is going to expire soon without mentioning the exact date.
On social media, the Palestinian officials had to deal with extensive criticism as the deal was publicized, with several alleging them for accepting ineffective or weak Coronavirus vaccine. Critics also suggested that vaccines might not show efficacy.
On Friday, Israel is going to deliver nearly one million vaccine doses that are very soon to expire to the Palestinian officials in return for the same number of vaccine doses the Palestinian likely to accept later this year.
