Joe Biden has taken oath as the forty-sixth president of the United States of America, aiming to deploy a national unity spirit to lead the nation through one of the intense and horrifying periods in the United States history.

President-elect Joe Biden, under a bright sky, said that the ‘democracy has prevailed’ during the inauguration ceremony that presented the formal handover of power at the United States Capitol, where recently pro-Trump followers attacked the building in the futile and violent behavior to overturn the election results.

In his speech, Joe Biden said that this is America’s day, this is democracy’s day. He continued that the United States has been tested anew, and it has risen to the challenge. Joe Biden took an oath with his hands on the Bible, which is a family Bible that he used to take office in the past. Moreover, John Roberts, Supreme Court Chief Justice, has administered the oath.
