On Wednesday, Joe Biden (the United States President) pledged to ramp down gun violence after threatening the country about a critical summer spike in assassinations.
In a White House speech highlighting an extensive government plan, Joe Biden described that they are taking on the bad actors doing dangerous and bad happenings in their communities and to their country.
Zero tolerance for gun dealers
He promised zero tolerance for unauthorized weapon dealers and even those who deliver guns and other weapons across the cities. Biden described that they would ensure people cannot sell death and mayhem on their streets.
The current administration of Joe Biden is going to allow 350 billion dollars in federal incentive money to back police departments in regions with increasing gun violence rates. He even explained that dodges required to be halted because there are people nowadays who can purchase a gun, but they should not be able to purchase a gun.
When asked by the Voice of America News (VOA) what administration could perform to change the mentality of those people who would kill others through their guns, Joe Biden cited utilizing early childhood education, offering mental health programs, not rejecting public housing to escaped murderers and looking for new paths to again conduct those escaped prisoners in their surroundings, offering them some hope, some opportunity.
Merrick Garland (American Attorney General), talking ahead of Joe Biden, described that lawyers across the nation would operate with local allies to create a quick program to address the surge in violence that usually happens in the summer phase.
Biden unveiled his crime plan
The United States President unfolded his crime strategy after a summit with law enforcement officials, community activists, and a bipartisan group of mayors.
Gurbir Grewal (New Jersey Attorney General) explained that Biden was engaged and wanted to know the plans that were working on the ground in their states and their communities. He added that they had a discussion about a holistic reaction, which Joe Biden highlighted in his suggestion today, along with Garland, and the response truly models what has been working in all of their communities.
Brandon Scott (Baltimore Mayor) and Gurbir Grewal described to news reporters that the weapon violence in their communities and states was a public health disaster.
On Wednesday, in a statement, Kevin McCarthy (House Minority Leader) said that President Joe Biden wants to blame guns and legal gun holders instead of Democrats’ open hold of the “defund the police” movement and soft-on-crime method.
