On Sunday, Richard Branson, a Swashbuckling billionaire, went into space on his own rocket ship, takes Astro tourism to a new level, and competing his wealthier rival Jeff Bezos (Amazon founder).

Richard Branson, around 71-year-old billionaire, with his five teammates from his Virgin Galactic, space-tourism firm, went into the space of an 86 kilometers (53.5 miles) altitude above the New Mexico desert. Branson and his crew members experienced around 3 to 4 minutes of weightlessness and returned home to a runway landing.

On his return on-board the shiny white space plane (known as Unity), a jubilant Richard Branson described that the whole thing was just magical. Moreover, he becomes the first person to experience the space atmosphere in his own space rocket, competing and beating Amazon founder, the world’s wealthiest person, by 9-day. Besides this, Richard Branson even becomes the 2nd septuagenarian (70-79 years old person) to experience space.

Amazon founder congratulated Branson on his great accomplishment

The Amazon founder congratulated him, saying he cannot wait to join the club, albeit Bezos tweeted a few days ago to list the ways in which his firm’s tourist rides is going to be better.

Around five hundred people were seeing in which Amazon founder’s family was also included, the gleaming white space place went into space underneath a twin-fuselage spaceship. After this, at the height of around thirteen kilometers or 8 ½ miles, the aircraft disconnected from the main ship and pushed its engine with a pace of 3-times the speed of sound as it touched the edge of space.

Watchers shouted, cheered, and jumped as the space rocket landed on Earth safely. A swashbuckling billionaire Branson came out on the runway and met with his family, hugging his children and wife, and took his grandkid in his arms.

The dominant executive at Virgin Galactic, Mike Moses, explained that aside from some difficulties regarding video transmission in the space rocket’s cabin, Unity was perfect and the aircraft found pristine.

Chris Hadfield (former Canadian astronaut) described from his sidelines that it was an outstanding accomplishment. He added that he is just so happy at what this open door is going to lead to now, and it is a great moment.

Virgin Galactic, the space tourism firm, directed 3 earlier test aircraft into space with a group of 2-3 members. Besides this, Richard Branson’s other dominant rival regarding space-tourism competition among Elon Musk (SpaceX CEO), watched the journey at New Mexico and praised him for his beautiful flight.
