On Tuesday, the governor of Wisconsin has shown concerns of an impending crisis because the state is consistently observing a rise in Coronavirus cases, and state hospitals are overwhelmed.

Governor Tony Evers said that there is no way to sugarcoat it, they are dealing with an urgent crisis, and there is an approaching risk to people and their families too.

However, state hospital beds are around eighty-four percent filled, as well as eighty-seven percent of intensive care unit beds, and more and more people are going to hospitalize, according to state data.

On the 14th of October, the state started a hospital facility at the state fair grounds, and 5 patients have been taken care there as of Tuesday.

The rapid upsurge of COVID-19 cases

Evers described that above five thousand COVID-19 cases were confirmed in the state as of Tuesday, which elevated the total figure to more than 200,000, a concerning and tragic milestone. On the other side, the number of death toll increased by 64 as of Tuesday, which ramped up the total death toll to 1,852.

The Secretary-designee of the Department of Health Services of Wisconsin, Andrea Palm, said that the boosting cases, and their increase in deaths now are the biggest single-day elevation that they have seen during the entire course of this pandemic. He added that they must take important and collective actions.

Palm describes that Wisconsin’s 7-day average of novel cases has ramped up by more than 400 percent. Furthermore, Evers said that it took 7 months for COVID-19 cases to hit 100,000 and just thirty-six days to reach 200,000.

His warning arrives as around half a million American people tested positive for Coronavirus in just last week as a down surge of the contagious Coronavirus claws its path into each region of the country.

In the United States, above 8.7 million Americans have now been contracted the virus since the start of the pandemic, John Hopkins University says.

On Monday, a former commissioner of the United States Food & Drug Administration, Dr. Scott Gottieb, said to CNBC’s ‘Squawk Box’ that America was at tipping location, where violent action could turn the pandemic into the worst condition.
