On Monday, the government of Mexico described that it has appealed the United States to support welfare package to get immigration, and it is also asking for an agreement between the United States and Central American regulators to handle the challenge of alone migrant kids.

Marcelo Ebrard (Foreign Minsiter) said that the primary economic and social measures were demanded to make sure Central American didn’t feel bound to leave their homes due to lawlessness or poverty.

The minister further described that the Mexican government recently showed to American officials that the results of Sembrando Vida, its forestation package to offer work and help agriculture, and ‘Jovenes Construyendo el Futuro’ (a jobs program for 18-29 years old).

Establishment of common work plan

Speaking alongside President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, Ebrard described in a news meeting that they hope very soon to establish a common work strategy and also involve the UN.

Ebrard explained that if the Mexican government spends hundred million dollars in the welfare programs, the U.S. could be able to invest 2 billion dollars a year referring to the difference in size between 2 economies.

Joe Biden, the U.S. President, is trying to jump in undocumented migrants coming to the American-Mexican border, which Alejandro Mayorkas (his Homeland Security chief) has described is on track hit the highest level in the previous twenty years.

Ebrard said that in the case of the Central American people, what they are proposing is that there be accords between the U.S. and those nations for handling minors especially.

He further said that Mexico was operating on a bunch of guidelines to protect minors and making sure that there was no abuse or trafficking on them. Lopez Obrador described that the U.S. wasn’t investing enough to handle the root reasons of migration. He said that it is not a problem that can be resolved with coercive guidelines militarizing, closing borders.
