Thirty-years wait of Liverpool finally pushed it towards the top-flight title when Manchester City lost the game by 2-1 at Chelsea to assure the Reds as the champion of the Premier League.
Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp’s club, just waiting for one victory to seal the Premier League but Manchester City can’t win the match which means Liverpool is out of range to be caught.
This victory has added the nineteenth top-flight title to its account and its first top-flight since 1989-90. Despite the fact that there were strict stay home orders by the metro mayor of the city due to the severe COVID-19 crisis, thousands of Liverpool supporters grouped and celebrated the victory at Anfield. Moreover, a significant number of fans even gathered at the ground of the club, face covered with masks and many of them lit flares.

A few Reds player celebrated together
After watching the Chelsea City’s match, several Liverpool players including Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (the midfielder), Virgil van Dijk (the defender) and Alisson (the goalkeeper) celebrated together.
Jurgen Klopp, looking very emotional and wearing Liverpool shirt, said to Sky Sports that he has no words and it is unbelievable.
He described his feelings that it is much higher than he ever thought would be possible, to become champion with Reds is absolutely incredible. He continued that he has not waited thirty years, he has been there for four and a half years, but that is quite a success especially with having 3 months pause because no one recognized if we could go on.
He continued that he knows it’s very hard for people in this moment but we couldn’t hold back but we will celebrate this with our fans when we can.
As we know the pandemic Coronavirus disordered the life all around the globe even in England and caused postponement of the Premier League for 3 months. Meanwhile, Liverpool fan have endured a anxious wait to see how their club will perform next, and most importantly how the League would be ended.
Because of the lockdown measures due to pandemic Coronavirus, the Reds, Liverpool will not be able to enjoy their incredible, unpredictable and long-awaited victory with their loveable fans, at least they didn’t celebrate it traditionally.
Accomplishing the top-flight title always has been the main focus for each club especially for Liverpool that endured thirty years of long wait to be crowned and honored as champions of England once again. Furthermore, acquiring the same honor eleven times is not an ordinary thing.
