On Sunday, four more dead bodies were retrieved from the destroyed condo in Surfside, Miami-Dade County, Florida that ramped up the total death numbers to ninety.

On Sunday morning, Daniella Levine Cava (Miami Mayor) described to news reporters that among the ninety dead bodies, just seventy-one dead bodies had been identified. Moreover, 31 condo people are still on the list of missing people.

She explained that 3 young kids were among those that are freshly recognized.

On Sunday, Alan Cominsky (Miami-Dade Fire Chief) described that the search and rescue operations will continue around 2 to 3 more weeks.

The operation for survivors ended

Furthermore, the search and rescue teams for survivors formally concluded at midnight Wednesday, around 2 weeks after the twelve-story Champlain Towers South condo demolished on 24th June.

The disaster of the Surfside building collapse has driven the analysis of several other condominiums in Miami-Dade County. Another structure, the county courthouse, has been examined and evacuated. The first destruction was a condominium structure located at North Miami Beach.

At the same time, a major panel of examination digging the root cause of the building collapse in Surfside is underway, and around six families came up with individual lawsuits.

American President Joe Biden also visited Surfside condominium collapse after one week of its destruction. Moreover, federal officials have already been assisting in search and rescue operations.
