America doesn’t seek any conflict with China
The United States Defense Secretary Austin, in a speech in Singapore, said that they will not flinch when their interests are vulnerable, yet they do not seek conflict.
He added that so let me be clear, as Defense Secretary, I am determined to pursuing a stable, constructive relationship with Beijing, including stronger disaster communications with the People’s Liberation Army.
Lloyd Austin, Defense Secretary of America, is the first, topmost regulator from the current American administration of Joe Biden, to visit the region.
Defense Secretary Austin didn’t speak with senior Chinese regulators in spite of several efforts since he was appointed as the United States Defense Secretary in January.
On Tuesday, after negotiations with Ng Eng Hen (Defense Minister of Singapore), the two nations explained in a joint announcement they negotiated the regional security crisis and the significance of sustaining a rules-based order, a primary principle of American foreign policy from the time Joe Biden stepped into the office.
The joint statement described that the defense ministers of both sides even negotiated about potential regions of further cooperation, including humanitarian aid, cyber defense, and disaster relief. Besides this, Lloyd Austin’s tour also includes further stays in the Philippines and Vietnam.
